The Art in Architecture
A Photographic Exploration of Contemporary Design
The presentation looks at the work of contemporary architecture in what I see as minimalism, the extraction of spatial compositions from the structures of steel, glass and concrete.
Through my photography we see the elegance of minimalism and complexity of geometric patterns along with dynamic interaction of light and shadow, seeing our architectural environment not just as functional spaces, but as artistic expressions of modern design.
Throughout the presentation are various sections called “bite size info” these are designed to show and explain various aspects of my vision and thoughts with the how and why of my photography

About Les
Photography started later in life, once it did like many I was hooked. I photographed many subjects in my early years but I was always drawn back into the shapes and patterns of architecture, over the past decade it has become my passion today it continues to be my sole focus in photography. I live in the glorious Yorkshire Dales known more for its beautiful scenery, very much devoid of the contemporary architecture which I photograph which suits me fine, it gives me a balance to my life. Is my photography award wining etc, yes. Do I mention them, nah you’re only as good as the last photo you took
